FLC Technology is one of the earliest companies in China to explore the hybrid balance armature and dynamic driver technology. In 2011, it is the first company to launch a hybrids customs. The FLC 8S is the first universial hybrid balance armature and dynamic earphones by FLC technology. Due to FLC Technology's extensive experience in the hybrid technology, the FLC 8S features excellent cross over technology which creates a coherent sound between the dual balanced armature drivers and the dynamic drivers.
FLC 8S recongises that there is no one size fit all sound signature for all users. Hence, it is designed to be highly tuneable so that users can tune it according to their sound preference. While tuneable earphones are not new in the market, the FLC 8S represents the pinnacle of this technology as it allows for 36 variations of sound unlike most tuneable earphones which allows only 3 different sound signature at most.
The FLC 8S comes with improved built quality and comes with braided cables as compared to the FLC 8.

Came across this unassuming and as of yet not that popular IEM when reading the thread at Head-Fi.org.
With the options to tune the IEM to your own preference, I decided to purchase it without an audition. BEST DECISION EVER MADE.
These IEMs when tuned to your sonic preference delivers in spades. The current popular combination of Red-Grey-Gold provides the quantity and quality of bass that's typically found in only Dynamic IEMs BUT still bring the quickness and clarity of the mids and highs of BAs. This particular combination is the most amazing due to the fact that it plays well with almost any genre; be it classical, acoustic, EDM, Pop, or even Rock.
HOWEVER, the real beauty is that it's tune-able. If you don't like so much bass, pop out the Red-Grey for Clear-Clear. Want a V-shaped type sound, swap the Gold for the Green.
For me, this pairs really well with my gear: RWAK100S to ALO RX MK3B.
As always, YMMV (your mileage may vary) but to provide a simple indication; my musical preference is slightly on the warm side with a more neutral or mid forward sound signature.
